Beechworth INC is a member-based not-for-profit association operated by a volunteer committee. We represent and support the business community's interests in Beechworth. We aspire to connect the local businesses of Beechworth and foster positive community engagement through networking and sharing ideas. Our vision is to create a vibrant business community working together to enhance the local economy for the benefit of all.

To be treated with fairness, respect, and equality by Beechworth INC, its committee, and fellow members.

To engage in a safe, harassment-free environment.
Responsibilities of Members:

Ensure all forms of communication, including verbal, email, and social media, are respectful and considerate.

Report any inappropriate behaviour to the Beechworth INC Board for appropriate action.

Treat fellow members, guests, venue staff, and other patrons with fairness, respect, and courtesy.

Behave in a manner that upholds the reputation of Beechworth INC, its events, organizers, participants, and sponsors.

Refrain from any form of physical or verbal harassment.

Update contact details with Beechworth INC’s Membership or Administration Officer or through the membership portal.

Adhere to the Beechworth INC Code of Conduct and uphold the organization's Constitution.

Consequences for Breaching the Code of Conduct:

Members found in violation may face counselling, warnings, or disciplinary action, with severe or repeated breaches potentially leading to exclusion.

Members not adhering to the Code of Conduct at a Beechworth INC event may be asked to leave without a refund.

Inappropriate behaviour will be investigated by the Board, which may result in a reprimand, suspension, or revocation of membership.

Freedom of speech is valued, but posts containing any of the following may lead to deletion or suspension of access to the membership portal:

Repetitive advertisements (excluding self-business promotions).

Violation of copyright laws not within fair use, public domain, or Creative Commons license.

Defamatory, slanderous, or aggressive attacks on Beechworth INC, individuals, organizations, projects, or public figures.

Breach of data protection or privacy laws.

Excessive or inappropriate swearing.

Topics outside the interest of members and stakeholders that do not appear to be legitimate discussion or inquiry.
